SSAB and Meka Pro Oy have signed an agreement under which Meka Pro will start receiving fossil-free steel from 2026. This steel is produced with virtually no carbon dioxide emissions, reducing Meka Pro’s product emissions by up to 95%. The fossil-free steel supports the company’s efforts in solar power installation systems and long-lasting products. Meka Pro Oy is a Finnish family-owned business with over 70 years of history, employing around 100 people. SSAB aims to provide sustainable steel solutions and seeks to create a fully fossil-free value chain.
